Meet the Teams
While we offer touch rugby twice a week (open to all), some of our dedicated members also take part in tackle rugby and compete in both 7s and 15s matches & tournaments. See team pictures of those players below.
Our Background
"Rocktown" has become a popular nickname for Harrisonburg due to the area's abundance of Limestone, which was commonly used as a resource in the early construction of the town. It is from this nickname that we first derived our club name of Rocktown Rugby Football Club (RFC), founded in 2012.
Our logo features a rooster representing the heritage of the area and its connections with the poultry & farming community, three 5-point stars representing the traditional game of rugby with one point for each player on the pitch, and the colors of red, white, and blue as prevalent throughout the history of the club.
